What’s the Difference?

Ever thought what’s the difference between a barbeque and a cookout ? We don’t really think it has a difference, right ?

Summertime is a great time for both but is this just terminology or is there really a difference ?

Around the Country

Now I’m from Texas by the way of Arkansas and Tennessee and ended up in Texas ! In the South when we think of anything being cooked or grilled outside is cooking anything over some type of open flame. But a barbeque is more of a slow..low cooking over direct heat. That can be an open fire, a grill, firepit, or a grill.

I also read in a fellow marketers blog pages that something some people think of barbeque as only cooking pork ! What !! Seriously what about beef and chicken ! Texasns would NEVER have a barbeque without BEEF!!!!!

What’s the Difference?

Well for this articles purpose we will use it either way cookout or barbeque. Why ? Because it’s not about the meat but about the sause.

Awsome Sause

Have you heard the saying “awsome sause” ? When you hear the term “awsome sause” most people think this positive phrase is to describe something fun or outstanding. So, in this case “awsome sause” really is about an awsome barbaque sause to be exact.

Do you like a mild, medium or spicy hot barbeque sause ? Add to the “heat” a smoky sweet seasoning. You can use as a rub, marinate or just the exact sause for flavor. And if you should need ideas or recies you can get a digital cookbook with your order! Now that’s awsome !

What’s in the name ?

What’s lipstick got to do with this, you ask. Let’s give that a little thought, looking back at your last meal of barbeque. Barbeque is something messy to eat with your hands or even with a fork! Especially with lots of sause on your meats, right ! Have you ever looked in a mirror after eating barbaque ? If you have you might find your lips look like you have on lipstick. This is how the sause got it’s name Redneck Lipstick! It’s that type of “good” sause. You’ll be licking your lips and be taking your lipstick to your next cookout or barbeque.

Let’s make a checklist for next cookout or barbeque event.
