Regenerative Agriculture

What is Regenerative Agriculture? Regenerative Agriculture‘s long-term objective and long-term goals are to heal the soil of our earth.

What does healing the soil of our earth mean?

By healing the soil of our earth we can produce the healthiest plant and animal foods possible. Due to the many industrial revolutions we have experienced, farmers have ceaselessly been trying to genetically manipulate the planting, growing, and harvesting of our plant foods. Commercialized farming methodsintentially meaning to produce more and more at the cheapest price possible for the world have ruined our soil. And of course, there were other reasons for the industrialization such as increased revenue for the production companies and income for families.

What If’s

Ever Wonder what if the people of the world would have been if we didn’t try to feed everyone? What if we limited the food production and consumption to the local population within a specific region? Limiting the food and feeding off the land and sea within our local areas. Limiting food production and consumption to the local population within a region could have forced us to feed and nourish ourselves with seasonal foods only. Natural feeding off the land and sea. Only consuming food when fully mature, whether it be plants or livestock. Just like fine wines, we wait until Mother Nature says they are ready to consume not mass manufacturing them. Not eating seasonal fruits, nuts, and seeds all year round. Eating prematurely harvested vegetables or consuming livestock or seafood prematurely slaughtered or caught. Wouldn’t that have been better for the earth?

What about climate conditions?

Periods of drought how would we survive then? Mother Earth is capable of sustaining its local population even during droughts. This is where Regenerative Farming becomes an important and sustainable food system. It encourages the retention of moisture and nutrients in the soil. The soil has the ability to keep itself moist even during drought periods, allowing micro and macro organisms, plants, livestock, and humans to continue to maintain their circular relationships.

Individuals who might be part of the Regenerative Agriculture Movement Ideology

The # of members joining the Regenerative Farming and Agriculture Movement is increasing more and more. The Regenerative Farming Movement comprises people from all walks of life. People not just ranchers, but members of the carnivore, keto, and vegan communities. People from all walks of life, those interested in nutritional lifestyles. And people just like you who are reading this page just to learn what Regenerative agriculture is.

When living on a very small farm in Indiana I would purchase my grass-fed beef from a local farmer each year and put into our freezer. The meats were more favorable and aromatically superior to store-bought meats and generally less in cost by buying the whole cow. And maybe the ranchers did not thinking they were practicing regenerative farming but the grass-fed beef was much better for us than store-bought beef, chickens or eggs. I remember my grandmother killing and frying chickens within hours and how much better they tasted. And the egg yokes were so much brighter yellow. We would gather the eggs for breakfast daily.

A Few Benefits of Grass-Fed and Finished Beef:

Reduction of inflammation, aches, and pain in joints. Some say brain function improves as does our vision from dry eyes. Some say that they have better energy levels throughout the day. But this list could go on and on depending on your own experiences.

Regenerative Agriculture A New Modern-Day Concept

Regenerative agriculture is a new modern-day concept but a natural way of life and living. Our ancestors knew about it. Why haven’t we? Restoring Health with Regenerative Agriculture, soil health, plant health, animal and livestock health, and most importantly our health. Our food system is broken. Our food system worldwide is more appropriately described as being destroyed and in shambles.

In Conclusion

Ranchers that practice Regenerative and Restorative Farming and agriculture are in alignment with Nature. Plants and Livestock lay down their lives so we can survive.
