Ad Posting Training
Disclaimer: I have added this page Ad Posting Training to my site although I did not write this page. However it is such an important training for all students of our PBS system I felt it should be on my own website. Thank You Connie McFadden for sharing this with us. Ad Posting Training is done to drive traffic to your PBS. This is a task that requires time spent creating Ad Templates, a Spreadsheet and actually posting ads on various free websites.

First you need to pick out what page you want to post ads to from your PBS. (note; you want to eventually have an Ad Template for every page on your PBS.)
Start with Ad Template Creation
- Go to your google docs (through your gmail account under the 9 dots at the top)
- Open a new document and type at the top the name of the page you want to post ads to.
- Now open a new tab and go to https://chat.openai.com/ (referred to as chatgpt or chatAI). This is an Artificial Intelligence tool we use to make life easier and better.
WHEN POSTING ADS IT DOES NOT MATTER WHETHER IT IS YOUR WORDS OR NOT OR HUMAN OR NOT. IT’S ADVERTISING! THIS IS NOT THE SAME AS YOUR PBS.
- Once you’re in the Chat AI, it’s all about the questions you ask of it.
- Remember you need at least 10 Headings and 10 Bodies to be able to mix and match them in multiple ads.
- Here are a couple of questions you can use to get you started.
- Please give me 10 eye catching thorough ad headings for {put your PBS page title here}
- Give me 10 eye catching ad headlines for {put your PBS page title here}
- Please Give me 10 enticing thorough ad bodies for {put your PBS page title here}
- Give me 10 enticing ad bodies for {put your PBS page title here}
- Now you can create some of your own similar questions…
- Okay, you can copy these answers from the chatgpt and then paste them on your google doc you started at the top of this page.
- Do Not forget to Add the page URL to this document. This is where you are sending the ads to.

Next, you need to have a Spreadsheet for documentation
Most of you have received access to a sample spreadsheet. If not, you need to open a google sheet. This is what it should look like:
{you can type these in if necessary}
- Date ~ should be the date you post the ad.
- URL ~ this is the address for your PBS page to post ads to. On your ad template.
- Website ~ this is the ad posting site.
- Category ~ this is the ad category you are posting under.
- Location ~ this is where the ad will be posted in. (city, state, country)
- Heading ~ this is the heading you will use from your ad template above.
- ID ~ this is the number you’re given after the ad is posted.
- End date ~ this is the date the ad will expire.
AD Posting Your Ad on https://www.classifiedsforfree.com/
- Make sure you register on classifieds for free.
- Then simply log in.
- Click on the Post Ad button.
- Start by clicking on Alabama from the states drop-down menu.
- Add your heading.
- Select your category.
- Add your body from your ad template.
- Fill out the remaining information.
- Be sure to input your website URL. (This is where you are sending them, to your PBS page)
- Also, you can add up to 3 pictures.
- Click on Choose File button.
- Click on one of your pics from the pictures on your computer.
- After choosing pic, then click Open button.
- Now back on classifieds for free, click on the Upload Image button.
- Picture is now loaded so, simply click in the small box. In upper left corner in the picture box.
- The number associated with the picture appears above the Post Ad button.
- If you cannot see the picture on your screen, or is blank, you can simply right click your mouse. And from the drop down choose Open Image in New Tab. Then go to that tab and view pic.
- Then click the POST AD button.
- Copy the ID # over to your spreadsheet.
- Ready to post another ad? Simply click on the bottom button, Want to Post another AD.
- Now you’re ready to click on the next state in the list. And repeat!
Here is an example of a completed posted ad on your spreadsheet;
Now, when you’re finished, the great thing about classifieds for free is that you can simply click on the, post another ad button at the bottom of the page. This will bring up the ad posting page. The best part is that it saves all your information, including the pictures.
All you need to do now is change the state or country, depending on the drop-down list you use. Continue posting ads one by one, inputting the information as you go until you get comfortable. And now, as you get the hang of it, it will look like the example below;
Just keep going until you get to the end of the dropdown list for states, like the one above. Once you’ve completed that, start all over again using a different category, a different heading, and a different body. Start back at Alabama. Be sure to change the date as needed as you move forward down the list. This helps you to stay accountable to yourself.
Now that you are becoming more and more comfortable with posting ads, try posting on the sister site to this one: https://www.businessadsforfree.net/. It’s very similar.
Also, remember to go to https://rrr247.com/free-traffic-sites/ for free ad posting sites.
Please keep in mind, when ad posting training, the following:
Never use the product name in your ads! This is supposed to tease them to click. (except Jeunesse)
Do not give them all the details in the description. If you do this, there is no need for them to click to go to your site. They now have all the information they need.
Think about what would make you want to click on it to get more information and details. Would you want to check out this ad?
Also, remember, not all ad sites are the same. Some require you not to post in every city, state, or country. Stay tuned for training to find out more details.
Note: Some ad posting sites do not have a separate place to put your URL. So, you may need to add it to your body or description.

Quick Tip:
If you are struggling with getting pictures to show up on classifiedsforfree.com or businessadsforfree.net, I have a fix for you. Or, check out the video below.
- First, click on the icon next to the URL.
- Next, click on site settings.
- Then, make sure the ‘Insecure Content’ is ALLOWED.
- Lastly, you should now see the pictures on the site.
Note: You may need to do this each time you go to these two sites, depending on your firewall on your computer.
