Welcome to Karingworks Evolution
“Life, learning, and a little Southern wisdom shared daily.”
Hi there,Y’all! A little About Us. I’m Karen Weatherford, creator of 5P09.com and the heart behind Karingworks Evolution. We’re here in this digital space, so let me say this: welcome to Karingworks Evolution. I built this site to help people just like you save money, live better, and discover ethical ways to earn extra income—all in one easy-to-navigate space. I am on different social media platforms so you are welcome to follow me there as well as here. I am based in Northlake, Texas. Northlake, Pecan Square area, a new small but growing community between Ft. Worth and Denton, Texas.
I was born in a small town in Arkansas called Harrison. I have two adult children and three step-grandchildren with two step-great-grandchildren. I also shared my home with Izzy, my Yorkie of 11 years. Izzy passed away this year, Feb. 9, 2026, 1 week before her 12th birthday. I can not tell you how much she is missed, as she was my little buddy who went everywhere with me. But if you have ever lost a family pet member, you understand.
I was fortunate enough to travel the world while married, but unfortunately, like many, my marriage ended after 28 year and later my ex-husband passed away of a massive heart attack.
I spent years in the corporate senior housing marketing and consulting industry, among other careers. Helping as many families as possible to navigate the different difficult aspects of health needs. Especially for aging parents, friends or children.
Why I Started Karingworks Evolution
I have had the opportunity to work both in offices, outside sales, and from my home. I like the freedom that working from home affords me to come and go, the ability to work from anywhere. This new journey in my life started in 2019 when the job I had been working in senior housing was becoming too stressful. I was looking for a new venture. And thanks to the guidance of an ex-coworker, I was led to blogging. Although in the beginning my plan was to write about senior housing, the first affiliate products were in the wine industry, something I knew nothing about.
I’ve spent years learning that time and money are two of our most precious resources. I wanted to create a place where you could come and relax, like sitting on a Southern front porch with friends.
I want to improve our lives through knowledge, community, and the right tools. I present by blogging about topics that matter, from wellness and family life to tech, business, and ways to earn additional income. I try to write in a format that anyone can understand, and as we say, even a 5th grader can understand and benefit from.
You will find that I am real. You’ll find stories about family, traditions, vacations, and so much more. It’s not just business. It’s from the heart. Oh, and you will find things like this as well.
